The stainless Star Line is the step up from the painted models: fully stainless construction stands up to daily washdown and is easier to keep to a butchery hygiene standard.

A sausage filler is a piston cylinder with a hand-cranked gear drive. Meat is loaded into the cylinder, a casing is slipped over the nozzle, and turning the handle drives the piston down at a controlled rate so the casing fills evenly without air pockets. The gearing is what gives the control — filling by hand or by mincer attachment tends to tear casings and trap air.

Tre Spade is an Italian manufacturer and these are hand-driven rather than powered, which suits a butchery, farm operation or restaurant making its own sausage in batches rather than a continuous production line.

Supplied with a set of nozzles in most configurations. Stainless parts strip down for cleaning, which is required after every use.
