Aluminium conducts heat faster than steel, so bases brown more evenly and the tray comes up to temperature quickly in a fan oven. Solid rather than perforated, which is what you want for anything wet, anything on paper, and anything that would sag through a perforated deck.

Oven trays are sized to the oven. Confirm this matches your Pidom model before ordering, since a tray that is a few millimetres out will not seat on the runners.
